Xinjiang Unified Military Cotton Quality Subsidy Standard And Quality Traceability System

On September 10, the Market Supervision Administration of Xinjiang Autonomous Region released the Implementation Plan of Xinjiang Cotton Target Price Subsidy and Quality Linked Policy (2024-2025) and policy interpretation on its website.

The plan clearly stipulates that quality subsidies will be given to actual cotton growers who meet the standard of high-quality cotton (that is, cotton target price subsidies are linked to quality), so as to stimulate high-quality cotton production, improve cotton production and processing quality, and guide cotton production to large-scale, intensive and intelligent development. We will guide the breeding and improvement of cotton varieties, encourage actual growers and processing enterprises to continuously improve cotton quality, promote the deep integration of digital economy with modern agriculture and modern manufacturing, enhance the competitiveness of Xinjiang's cotton industry, and promote high-quality development of the cotton industry. Unify the quality subsidy standard and quality traceability system of military and civilian cotton, and realize mutual recognition of military and civilian cotton.
