North Xinjiang Kuitun, Changji, Shihezi and other places cotton enterprises said that the original plan of 13800 yuan / ton or more to increase the warranty (including unprocessed lint, May net profit of 700-800 yuan / ton), but with the CF2005 contract close to 14500 yuan / ton. Enterprises not only lack confidence, but also have low enthusiasm for spot price sales.

It is understood that over the past half a month, part of the early proportion of high bail ratio, early processing of cotton processing enterprises are very passive, the loss of hedging plate increased rapidly, in order to avoid being forced to continue to increase margin. Due to the locking of traders' hedging plates and the high price of base quotations, short-term spot trading enthusiasm is weak, and spot market is in a state of low price.

Affected by the recent tense situation in the Middle East and the decline in the US dollar, crude oil futures continued to soar, coupled with the mainland's rush to harvest cotton seeds and Xinjiang's cotton production reduction expected in 2019/20. In the past two days, the sales price of cottonseed rose sharply in the territory, and the cost of lint cotton linen was further reduced. On January 7-8, the purchase price of hand picked cotton seed rose to 2.23-2.28 yuan / kg in Akesu Kuche, Sha Ya county and Kashi Bachu County in the southern Xinjiang, and the selling price of machine picked cotton seeds also reached 2.15-2.20 yuan / kg, up more than 0.2 yuan / kg compared with mid December, higher than 0.5-0.6 yuan / kg in the same period last year, and still in short supply.
