State Post Office: 2018 Express Business Volume Of Over 50 Billion Pieces

According to the data released by the State Post Office, in 2018, China's express development index was 814.5, an increase of 23.6% over the same period last year, and the volume of express business exceeded the sum of the developed economies in the United States, Japan and Europe. The scale has been first in the world for five years in a row.

The industry accelerated to a high quality development stage, and the service quality index increased by 30.2% over the same period last year, exceeding the scale development index for the first time.

It is estimated that the volume of express business in 2019 will exceed 60 billion, an increase of 22% over the same period, and the revenue from express business will exceed 700 billion yuan, an increase of 18% over the same period last year.

* the annual volume of nationwide express delivery reached 50 billion 710 million, an increase of 26.6% over the previous year.

* the average daily express processing volume of the national express delivery company was 140 million, with a high daily processing capacity of 420 million, an increase of 25.7% over the same period last year.

In 2018, the volume of express business received 21.7 times and 10.5 times of the volume of express business in 2010 respectively. The annual compound growth rate was 46.9% and 34.2% respectively, much higher than that of the same period, and became the highlight of the new economy.

The express service quality index was 133.4, an increase of 30.2% over the previous year.

Express service satisfaction score was 75.9 points, an increase of 0.2 points over the previous year.

The 72 hour punctuality rate was 79%, an increase of 0.3 percentage points over the previous year.
