Reporter: the color of this series of fabrics is very special. Can you tell us about this time?

Fabric

What about design?

Masha Ma: This is the first time that we have taken the Chinese style as the theme. So on the fabric, we have added the color of the stone, water and mottled walls of the Suzhou museum to add our own color plates. You can see that the designers of the heels are inspired by the overlapping features of the Suzhou Museum.

Reporter: I can see that there are many architectural styles on the printed structure this season. What is the source of inspiration? What is the biggest difference compared with last season?

Masha Ma: our inspiration comes from architecture.

Designer

Ieoh Ming Pei's Suzhou Museum, this is the last building he designed.

I think everyone used to have some traditional and gorgeous elements when they were doing the Chinese theme, and we wanted to make the Chinese elements that we finally presented to you become more modern.

I think the feature of this season is to find out what is new China, and last season has a simple direction.

But this season will be biased towards an exploration of the new definition of China.

Reporter: what have you learned and experienced since you have been in Paris for so many years?

Masha Ma: I think every season feels different, and we learn new things every season.

And for me, every season is moving forward, but at the same time, we are constantly discovering new problems and growing.

I think Paris is a place where you can express what you want to express.

Reporter: as an oriental plot designer, how do you balance the two different cultures of the East and West under the Western background?

Masha Ma: I don't think it's necessary to balance them, because they are originally a common culture. I think they are different but a way of integration.

Reporter: the future

Masha Ma

What is the development path of the brand?

Masha Ma: we will continue to stay in Paris, and set up more benchmarks in Paris, and then expand more retail businesses in China.

Reporter: when it comes to retail business, more and more electricity providers are changing the way people shop. Is this change an opportunity or a challenge for the brand?

Masha Ma: opportunities and challenges.

I think this is a new way and new platform. I think the change of shopping mode and the popularity of e-commerce are new changes that will appear with time. The key is to see how you can form a better cooperative relationship with it.

Reporter: you can see that you are a very business minded designer. Not only do you have the MA by MA Studio, but also a series of other business routes. How do you feel the balance between design and business?

Masha Ma: I think as designers, we provide products.

Because we are not simply providing artworks, so I think the balance between them is natural.

Of course, it is also a skill to sell products. What we have been doing is complementary to each other. If someone likes to buy it, we will be more motivated to do it.

Reporter: you took part in last year's very fashionable fashion reality show "goddess's new clothes". At what moment did it join the program? After all, domestic fashion designers showed their faces on TV programs very rarely.

Masha Ma: I think this is a good try, because you may not have the chance to get to know the needs of the public directly and directly.

For me, this is a game, and I enjoy the process very much.

This allows me to try out some areas which are not often touched in my professional field, which is a good opportunity and experience, and also a publicity for brand retail.

Reporter: what do you think of Chinese women's dressing style? Can you describe them with a few simple adjectives?

Masha Ma: I think it's modern, changeable and practical.
