The spring and summer festival of the twenty-first Hongkong Fashion Festival, sponsored by the Hongkong Trade Development Council (TDC), was unveiled yesterday. The exhibition was held in Hongkong Convention and Exhibition Centre from July 7th to July 10th. It gathered from 19 countries and regions and over 1250 exhibitors to show the latest fashion design, international brands, and all kinds of fabric and accessories products.


During the exhibition, the group organized nearly 90 buyers from 45 countries and regions to visit and purchase, and altogether over 5000 buyers, including famous fashion brands, large chain stores and distributors representatives, such as Minkpink in Australia, big business group in China and Xinhua Jin group, M6 Boutique in France, Milktee Clothing in Malaysia, Kanematsu Textile Corp. in Japan, Apparel Group in the United Arab Emirates, etc., to create more business opportunities for exhibitors.

This year's Hongkong fashion festival spring summer series, with the theme of "Cruise Sensation", has held forty wonderful activities, including fashion shows, fashion shows, seminars, forums, conferences and exchange reception, bringing designers new works and latest market information. For the first time, enterprises from Madagascar, Morocco, Thailand, the United Arab Emirates and the United Kingdom participated in the exhibition. They also had 7 regional pavilions, namely the newly established Thailand, and the mainland, India, Indonesia, Japan, Macao and Taiwan. The purchase mode of "single quantity and little quantity" is still the trend of the times. This fashion festival continues to have a "small batch procurement area", bringing 130 counters and hangers to display the lowest volume of products from 5 to 1000 small quantities. In terms of featured products, Hongkong Yong Yi Co., Ltd., officially launched the "smart adjustable human body model iDummy" developed by Hong Kong Polytech University last year, was launched at this fashion festival. According to the manufacturer's requirements, the company will tailor the iDummy that meets the manufacturer's different sizes and provide special programs. In addition, Madagascar exhibitors brought the local popular brands - Raffia handbags made of traditional handmade women's clothing. Thailand has AKNAS brand jewelry and accessories, which converge French fashion style and Thailand leather processing technology, and the style is avant-garde.


Young designers spark creative sparks


During the exhibition, a number of fashion shows were held to let new design elites display the surging creativity of local designers to global buyers. Hong Kong Polytech University, Chinese University Hong Kong professional training institute, Hongkong Institute of design, and the Raffles Institute of continuing education in Hongkong will hold graduation fashion shows respectively today, tomorrow and the day after tomorrow.


11 fashion design units excavated from all previous "Hongkong youth fashion designers' performance competition" (YDC), including Xian Meiyu (Aries Sin), Chewthecud, Song Geer (Chloe Sung), Liang Jiajian (Kenax Leung), He Kuncheng (Kurt Ho), Mai Chi Chi (Mim), Ren Minghui (Liang Zhenting), Liang Zhenting (Zhou Yanshan), Zhou Yanshan (Zhou Yanshan), Zhou Yanshan (Wei), and Yue, today jointly produce a fashion show called "JE", presenting many new fashion series.

The makeup brand NARS will hold the "Runway to Realway" conference tomorrow, and will launch nine limited edition nail polish series with the famous fashion designer Phillip Lim, and the new eye shadow series will be released. It will be matched with the latest design of YDC designer Lian Bao Zhen, Mai drill pool and Ren Minghui. In addition, a number of designer brands such as IKA BUTONI, Clara Tan, Matthew Chow, Thomas Kung, Steffi Chan will participate in the fashion show and fashion brand show and show the latest works.


Seminar series reveals fashion trends


During the fashion festival, 14 seminars and forums will be held, such as WGSN Group, France's Peclers Paris and Style-Vision Asia, and other international trend forecasting experts to analyze the latest fashion trends. Online fashion platform founder Liu Ning and Stickyline will host the fashion brand marketing Symposium and the "geometric Hat Workshop" respectively. The conference also invited industry experts to lecture on how RFID technology can increase production efficiency and reduce energy consumption, as well as "testing certification services for products to open up international markets". Buyers interested in window design trends can participate in the "window and story telling" seminar hosted by AMENPAPA director Pan Zhenghui.
