According to customs statistics, in July 2008, China exported a total of 163356 tons of textile raw materials, an increase of 12.87% over the previous month, an increase of 19.99% over the same period last year, an export volume of US $309 million 520 thousand, an increase of 12.09% over the same period last year, an increase of 20.43% over the same period last year, an average export price of 1895 US dollars / ton, and a slight decrease of 0.70% in the ring ratio, a slight increase of 0.37% over the same period last year.

From the point of view of commodity structure, the export volume of other textile materials increased positively except wool and top wool. Polyester chips were the main products, the export volume reached 93637 tons in that month, the growth rate was 3.45%, the average export price increased to 1497 US dollars / ton, and the chain rose 5.06%. It is the only price increasing variety of textile materials, and the prices of other kinds of commodities have declined. Among other fibers, the price has dropped 35.26%, wool has fallen 22.41%, and the export price of chemical fiber has also decreased by 2.37%.

In the 1-7 month of this year, China's textile raw materials earned total foreign exchange earnings of US $1 billion 969 million 110 thousand, an increase of 20.45% over the same period last year, an increase of 40 percentage points lower than that of the same period last year.

From the export market, the Asian region is still the largest export market, with an export volume of US $927 million 940 thousand, an increase of 19.9% over the same period last year, of which exports to Southeast Asia grew by 63.5%, while exports to the Middle East decreased by 9.3%.

In the European market, exports to the twenty-seven EU countries showed a downward trend. The total export volume of the former July was only 207 million 860 thousand US dollars, down 11.4% from the same period last year, and its share dropped to 10.56%.

At the same time, exports to other regions have maintained steady growth, with exports to North America increasing by 69.5%.

Before July, the United States, Russia and India were the three largest trading places of China's export textile raw materials, accounting for 10.17%, 9.50% and 8.60% of the total textile raw materials exports respectively. From the perspective of export growth, exports to major trading places such as the United States, Russia and Japan were still growing rapidly, with an increase of 38-70% between the same period, but exports to Turkey and Ukraine were shrunken, down 5.1% and 6.5% respectively compared with the same period last year.

Due to the fact that there are not many raw materials, the textile industry chain is relatively weak, and some ASEAN countries have greater import dependence on textile raw materials. Because of this opportunity, China's textile raw materials exports to Vietnam, Thailand, Indonesia and other countries maintained a rapid growth trend, up 85.5%, 96.8%, 28.7%, respectively, and the rankings were higher than the same period last year.
