It is understood that in the "2010-2011 China Textile and garment enterprises competitiveness top 500" list, Ningbo Shenzhou, YOUNGOR, Vico, Shanshan, Bo Yang, Zhongxin wool spinning, bu Jie, Kang Er, Yongnan, Ai Mei, lion Dun, three state line industry and many other enterprises are ranked on it.


After more than 30 years of rapid development, Ningbo's textile and garment industry has formed a complete industrial chain, with a reasonable product mix and obvious industrial cluster advantages.

Among them, the three categories of clothing, knitting and home textiles are the most concentrated, the largest, the most influential and the most influential in the whole country. They play an important role in the development of Ningbo's economy and the promotion of employment.


Accelerating industrial pformation and upgrading


In recent years, Ningbo garment industry has persisted in market allocation of resources, constantly innovating in terms of system, and carried out a series of reforms in the aspects of management mode, distribution, employment and property rights, thus providing the growth momentum for the first advantage of garment industry restructuring.


In the men's wear brand, YOUNGOR implemented a multi brand strategy, focusing on the launch of its six Daquan series brand. In 2011, Ningbo children's clothing was developing rapidly, with more than 200 million yuan of capital flowing into it, including Ledano, Taiping bird and GXG all involved in children's wear. Old brands such as one stop, Shan Shan Kids, new brand such as AI Bei Bei, Xiao Hu Patti, Barbie Lele and so on, children's clothing has initially formed a brand lineup development.

By the end of 2011, men's clothing, women's wear and children's clothing in Ningbo had formed a pattern of going hand in hand and balanced development. Clothing has become one of the pillar industries of Ningbo's economy.


For Ningbo, textile and garment exports played an important role.

But in recent years, due to the external environment such as shrinking external demand, a batch of garment enterprises in Ningbo began to pform from export to domestic market, in order to find a new way of development.

Ningbo's Fig group has been making "OEM" production of famous brands such as Adidas and Reebok as an important source of revenue.

After market research, the Group invested in developing its own brand building project, that is, "fig" senior women's wear.

At present, the brand of fig has enjoyed a certain reputation and popularity in the domestic market.


According to Zhou Xueming, deputy director of Ningbo economic and Information Committee and Secretary General of the Organizing Committee of Ningbo Clothing Fair, in 2011, the high efficiency of Ningbo garment enterprises was closely related to the accelerated pformation and upgrading of the garment enterprises.

Many leading clothing enterprises in Ningbo have persisted in implementing brand strategy and strengthening the construction of domestic marketing outlets. While the export growth has been steadily growing, the domestic sales growth rate has reached 25%.


At present, after 30 years of development, the garment industry in Ningbo has shifted from the original manufacturing to the brand, forming the first tier company, which is mainly composed of traditional formal production enterprises including YOUNGOR, Shanshan and Luo Meng. The second tier companies are mainly composed of Lopez, Ai Mei and Shen Zhou.
