According to customs statistics, exports of leather and products amounted to US $2 billion 480 million in 2008, US $5 billion 790 million for leather and products, 890 million for fur and for products, and 450 million for fur and products.

In the first eight months of 2011, leather exports also amounted to US $1 billion 510 million and imports of US $4 billion 690 million; fur exports amounted to US $1 billion 710 million and imports of US $610 million.


Although demand and supply are large, statistics from leather and fur customs statistics show that since 2008, the export of leather and its products has shown a trend of first decline and then rise. The import situation of leather is quite consistent with the export trend, and has not yet returned to the level of 2008.

Customs data show that in the first three quarters, exports of leather and fur clothing from Shijiazhuang's traditional superior export commodities decreased significantly, down by 52.6% and 66.17% respectively.


It is understood that Xinji's enterprises as a whole are mainly engaged in foreign trade. In the past few years, Xinji was eligible to participate in the fair. There were only 110 left in this autumn's fair.

Because of inflation and rising raw materials, the price of fur commodities has increased by two to 30% this year. In addition, Europe's debt crisis has made it difficult to export leather goods.


Government oriented network marketing


With the development of network technology, e-commerce has infiltrated from entertainment applications to business applications with the Chinese Internet. E-commerce, as a typical business application, has been showing explosive growth recently. The high growth of China's consumer market has attracted the eyes of many Fur Companies by virtue of its bright prospects.

"The online sale of fur industry is being favored by more and more businesses."

At the third China (Shijiazhuang) International Leather Fur Fair held recently, Sun Ping Hua, Secretary General of the Hebei fur trade association, said: "in Russia, renting a 30 square meter stall and two employees cost about 1 million yuan a year, and the cost to e-commerce platform is much lower.

At present, Internet sales have accounted for 25%~30% of local fur sales, and the development momentum is strong.


Network development has accumulated huge potential customers, laying a market foundation for the brand building of small and medium-sized fur enterprises.

By the end of 2010, the total number of Internet users in China has reached 457 million, which laid a market foundation for the development of Internet marketing.

The strong communication ability of the network and the convenient trading conditions of the electronic commerce system have changed the foundation of the original marketing theory.

"In the long run, leather enterprises will take the road of e-commerce, which will be a trend of development.

But from this stage, traditional sales channels will still occupy the mainstream position.

First, the sales and brand image of most leather manufacturing enterprises are still dominated by traditional channels. Two, there are still some limitations in e-commerce channels. For example, shoes and leather products can not be truly experienced on the Internet. In a physical store, whether a product is compatible with the intention can be verified at the scene.

A few days ago, the eight departments of the national development and Reform Commission and the Ministry of Commerce jointly approved the 21 cities in Beijing and Shanghai as national e-commerce demonstration cities.

According to the reply, all demonstration cities should take the creation of a national e-business demonstration city as a new measure to promote the development of strategic emerging industries, accelerate the integration of resources, improve the development environment of e-commerce, expand the e-commerce service industry, and form a new economic growth point.

Many enterprises responsible for fur processing and sales also say that Internet sales are becoming a new model that can not be ignored in sales.
