The sampling results show that there are quality problems in some knitted T-shirts and shirts. Among them, 6 batches of 54 T-shirts in the sample were disqualified, and the problems included fibre Content, formaldehyde, pH value and other indicators are not qualified. In addition, 52 batches of shirts were tested, and 3 batches of products were detected with fiber content, pH value and color fastness.

For unqualified products, H&M is a knitted product with a 542944/2011.3 number. H&M, head of Shanghai's public relations department, explained that the volume of H&M was huge, and that quality control was unavoidable. However, there were some deviations in standards at home and abroad, but the products sold in China were based on Chinese standards, and the testing standards were adjusted accordingly every year. Since August this year, the textile products have already implemented the new national standard, and the pH value of the textile products directly contacting the skin is changed from 4.0~7.5 to 4.0~8.5. The Shanghai Quality Supervision Department announced that the pH value of the top coat was 8.6, which was much higher than the previous standard, but it was only 0.1 higher than the new standard.

According to insiders, not only H&M, but also fast fashion brands, such as ZARA (SA LA), and many other fast fashion brands have always been frequent customers in the quality blacklist. In May this year, the Spanish clothing brand ZARA fell into a quality crisis. According to incomplete statistics, since August 2009, ZARA products have been detected at least 7 times in China. However, in the face of doubt, ZARA kept silent.

The industry said that fast fashion brand itself is not high-end, large volume, short cycle, a piece of clothing from design to listing, but some two weeks, there may be oversight in quality control. With the popularity of such brands in recent years and the popularity of young consumers, the quality of fast fashion apparel has also been exposed frequently. Insiders pointed out that although the testing standards for garments are different at home and abroad, the products sold in China need to comply with Chinese standards and must attach importance to Chinese standards.
