Compared with 2008, it increased by 6.7%, accounting for 61.2% of the world's total output of synthetic fiber; the second India also increased by 11.6% over the same period last year, accounting for 7.9% of the total. The other major producing areas in the United States and Japan decreased by 15.4% and 26.1%, respectively.
