People who often go to Europe and the United States know that in Western shopping malls, the same brand clothes, shoes and caps and so on are much cheaper than China.

To many people's surprise, they also have a label "Made in China (made in China)".


For example, a bag carrying the same Coach may cost 2000 yuan in Xidan, Beijing, but in the United States it may be less than 100 dollars, and the price is less than half of that in the country. The same HugoBoss suit can be priced at tens of thousands of yuan in domestic boutiques, while in the us department stores, it is generally between 300 and 400 dollars.


As a result, in Europe and the United States, every shopping season, in many shopping malls, can be seen Asians, more Chinese.

Some of the same commodity prices in China surpass Europe, especially in China. The price is higher in China than in other countries. There are many reasons, of course, tax adjustment may be a factor.

But even if these taxes are excluded, there will not be such a big price gap.

I used to think that there was a factor of "brand power" in this kind of price difference: in this era of globalization, the "made in China" process earned only small profits.

But this factor can not explain all the problems.


Many foreign brands have such price differentials. In fact, quite a few Chinese independent brands have similar sharp price comparisons.

Because it is "made in China", the products sold abroad are much higher than those sold in China, and the cost of pportation is higher. Why can they be sold so low in the US and so expensive in China?

This, in fact, raises the doubts of the Americans. Some Americans believe that there is a factor of dumping or high subsidies for Chinese goods. This is also a theoretical basis for the current US countervailing and anti dumping sanctions against "made in China".

But we also know that it is obviously not true to blame the problem on dumping or subsidies.


The price of "made in China" is higher than that in foreign countries. It should be looked for from the system problems, for example, the poor circulation of commodity circulation and the lack of paction credit, so that domestic manufacturers prefer to export, because after all, this ensures money and goods.

But it is certain that the price difference between China and foreign countries is not a factor that can be determined. To solve this problem, we need to manage it comprehensively and comprehensively.


Although the income of the Chinese people has not been much smaller than before, the gap is quite obvious compared with that of developed countries in Europe and America.

But "made in China" abroad is cheaper than in China, which may be a joke for many Chinese people who are so shy.

In the crucial juncture of advancing the pformation of economic structure, will this paradox bring about the outflow of consumption power in China and become an obstacle to expand domestic demand?
