"Horqin wedding" shows Mongolian wedding customs
The opening ceremony of Inner Mongolia week in World Expo, Shanghai in 2010 was held in Expo Park on May 24th. Yu Zhengsheng, member of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee and Secretary of the Shanghai Municipal Committee, Uyunqimg, vice chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress, Hu Chunhua, Secretary of the the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region Party committee and director of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress, announced the opening of Inner Mongolia's activities week.
Hu Chunhua presented souvenirs to World Expo, Shanghai, and the Deputy Secretary of the Shanghai Municipal Committee and mayor Han Zheng accepted the gifts. Ren Yaping, deputy secretary and executive vice chairman of the the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region Party committee, Yang Xiong, standing committee of the Shanghai Municipal Committee, executive vice mayor, Xu Hubin, Secretary General of China Council for promoting trade, and curator of the Chinese Pavilion respectively. Shanghai leader Liu Yungeng, Feng Guoqin, Ding Xuexiang, the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region leader Xing Yun, Ulan, Fu Taizeng, Hao Yi Dong, Yun Xiumei, Xiao Lisheng, Xiao Lisheng, as well as Kun, and so on were present at the launching ceremony. Vice president of the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, cloth Xiaolin, presided over the ceremony.
At the opening ceremony of the Inner Mongolia activity week, the artists from Inner Mongolia presented a wonderful performance to the guests. The curtain of Inner Mongolia's activities week was opened with the musical heart love, the national intangible cultural heritage, the Horqin wedding, the national song and dance, and so on.
Before the opening ceremony, the two leaders visited the China Pavilion, the Inner Mongolia Pavilion and the Shanghai Pavilion. After the opening ceremony, a street parade of Inner Mongolia culture "towards happiness" was held at the Expo site. A series of ethnic performances will be held during the week of activities, which will show the unique folk literature and art of Inner Mongolia and its simple and heroic prairie amorous feelings. Folk craftsmen will perform the traditional Chinese folk arts such as the production of Mongolian string instruments, the weaving of rope, the carving of bone carving, the bow and arrow, the birch bark, the Mongolia boots, the sand painting, the harness making and other traditional folk arts, so that the audience can get in touch with the intangible cultural heritage of Inner Mongolia and enjoy the unique charm of the grassland civilization.
