Shoe Size

The shoe number is the sign indicating the size and fatness of the shoes.

The sizes of shoe sizes in different countries are based on their commonly used measurement units, idioms and the characteristics of the feet of the main body.

In the early days of our country, cloth shoes were mainly produced, and the shoes in the old shoes were marked with a town scale, also called Shanghai.

For example, 7 inch 8, 6 inch 2, etc., the number difference 1 points is about 3.33mm.

After the production of leather shoes, part of it was replaced by a similar French notation. If 78 was divided by 2, it became No. 39.

The formulation of the first shoe number standard in China is based on the results of the first national large scale foot measurement (1965-1968 years), which is included in the GB/T3293-1982 China shoe number and shoe last series standard.

The shoe number of our country is based on the coding of foot length, and the old standard is the centimeter system.

How many centimeters are the feet in length, such as the foot length 23CM (including 22.8-23.2), wear the shoes of size 23.

In January 16, 1998, China issued the GB/T3293-1998 shoe number standard, changing the centimeter system to millimeter, that is, the shoe with a foot length of 230mm and a shoe number of 230. The purpose is to integrate with the international shoe number.
