The Shenzhen municipal market supervision and Administration Bureau released the special supervision and spot check on the autumn and winter clothing, household appliances, vehicle fuel and other products in the circulation sector of the whole city last quarter.

It was found that in the 80 batches of autumn and winter clothing, 31 batches of unqualified samples were produced in Shenzhen, accounting for 13 batches.

In this autumn and winter clothing inspection, the main quality problems are fiber composition, pH value, color fastness and other items are not qualified, formaldehyde content exceeds the standard there are a batch.

"Formaldehyde containing textiles may gradually release harmful gases during the wearing process, causing respiratory and skin inflammation through contact with the respiratory tract and skin, and will also stimulate the eyes."

The relevant inspectors said that in the field of textile manufacturing, formaldehyde is widely used as a reactant. The purpose is mainly to improve the durability of fabrics such as resin finishing agents, finishes, waterproofing agents and other auxiliaries.

In the spot checks of household appliances, the law enforcement officers sampled 38 batches of products produced by 23 enterprises, and passed 32 batches of tests. The sampling pass rate was 84.21%. The main quality problems were "failure to touch the protection items of live parts" and "inflow power and current items".

The vehicle fuel has been inspected 194 batches of vehicle gasoline and diesel samples sold by 93 petrol stations in the city, and 191 batches of samples were tested, and the qualified rate was 98.5%.

At present, in view of the main quality problems found in the spot checks in the production field, the Bureau has processed the unqualified production enterprises in accordance with the law, and has made rectification within a specified time, and ordered the enterprises under examination to stop producing unqualified products immediately.

For the quality problems in the circulation sector, special inspection operations are carried out within the city, clearing inferior commodities and handling the business units according to law.
