UK Fiberweb Will Speed Up Shutting Down European Spunbond Production Line
Fiberweb recently announced that it will speed up shutting down about 12 spunbonded production lines in Europe, including production and production cuts. But the company introduced Italy Trezzano Rosa into a new competitive production line and plans to put it into production in the first half of 2009.
So far, the spunbonded nonwovens business in Europe has been very stable, and has improved its competitiveness through technological improvement. The operation capacity of each production line is about 1.5 times higher than that of the first half of 2008.
The company will also shut down the air distribution non-woven equipment of Lesmo in Milan, Italy, but it will not affect the air distribution network of the company in China.
