The 6Th Pakistan Asian Textile Exhibition Settled In Karachi

The 6th Textile Asia 2009 will be held in Karachi Expo Center, Pakistan from April 5 to 8.

Textile Asia, one of the most influential textile machinery exhibitions in Asia and the world, has been held for five consecutive times. Textile Asia is sponsored by the Ministry of Textile Industry of Pakistan in cooperation with Singapore Electronics Private Limited, a UFI member, and co organized by several national ministerial associations in Pakistan. It is the only textile machinery exhibition recommended in the name of the government. It is the most important economic activity for Pakistani textile enterprises to introduce high-tech equipment, upgrade industries, and improve product quality and production capacity. This exhibition aims to introduce the new trends of textile industry and advanced technologies of textile, embroidery, printing, etc. to global manufacturers.

At the 5th Textile Asia 2008, the turnover of exhibitors reached 27 million US dollars through negotiation, and 29% of the booths of the 6th Textile Asia have been booked by exhibitors attending the 5th Textile Asia on the last day of the 2008 exhibition. Almost all the exhibitors said that they got good returns in this exhibition.

132 enterprises from Pakistan, China, India, Singapore, South Korea, Japan, Turkey, Czech Republic, Sweden, Germany, Italy, Spain, the United States, Canada, Australia, the Netherlands, Iran, the British Commonwealth and other countries and regions participated in the exhibition, and 500 well-known brands in the international textile and clothing industry were on display at the exhibition, with an exhibition area of 12000 square meters, In 4 days, 26000 people visited the 5th Pakistan Asian Textile Exhibition.

The textile industry is the largest industry in Pakistan, but at present, Pakistan's textile industry lacks advanced technology and equipment, and its textile machinery manufacturing industry is backward, so it spends a lot of foreign exchange to import textile machinery every year.

From 2001 to June 2007, the export of China's textile machinery to Pakistan was steadily increasing year by year. The number of exports rose from 2806538 units in 2001 to 4429529 units in 2006, and reached the peak in 2006, nearly doubling in just six years.

It is reported that Pakistan will invest 32 billion dollars in the textile machinery industry, which is expected to reach the expected export value of Pakistan in 2010.
