Development Trend Of Semiconductor Industry In The Next Ten Years
According to foreign media reports, this week, Gartner, an American high-tech market research agency, released a medium-term forecast report on the development of the global semiconductor market.
The report points out five trends of the global semiconductor industry in the next ten years.
Gartner points out that with the continuous improvement of semiconductor integration, there will be about 350 semiconductor companies coming out of the market by 2016.
In the report, Gartner put forward five trends in the global semiconductor industry in the next ten years, namely, according to Moore's law, it will continue to improve the chip integration, improve the efficiency of chip manufacturing plants and reduce costs, and the consumer electronics market will continue to drive the growth of the semiconductor market, the emergence of various semiconductor service providers and the emergence of new chip technologies.
In the analysis of the first trend, Gartner pointed out that the improvement of chip integration led to semiconductor manufacturers continue to develop the versatile and complex single chip to replace the traditional multiple chips.
With complex multifunctional chips replacing single function chips, Gartner points out that the semiconductor industry will also undergo tremendous changes.
At present, semiconductor manufacturers with single chip will face the pressure of chip giants.
The report points out that by 2016, about 350 semiconductor companies will launch the market because of this trend.
Their products will also be replaced by multi-functional complex chips.
Coincidentally, the computer chip giant Weisheng company in Taiwan, China released this super PC chip this week. This chip integrates the past CPU, motherboard chipset and graphics processor, and can replace the past three chips with one chip.
According to the trend predicted by Gartner, multi-functional chips such as Weisheng will bring pressure to traditional single CPU manufacturers or display chip manufacturers.
