Proposal For The National Textile And Garment Export Enterprises

China's textile and clothing trade has entered a new era in 2008. Our textile and garment export enterprises have ushered in a more free and open trade environment.

At the same time, we are also soberly aware that under the background of the current global economic downturn, trade protectionism in some countries has risen, and the uncertainty of the trade environment facing textile and clothing exports has increased.

In order to avoid the adverse situation of low price competition and disrupting the normal export order of our textile and clothing export in 2009, it has a negative impact on the long-term development of our textile and garment export enterprises. We hereby issue the following initiatives to the national textile and garment export enterprises:

First, earnestly study and practice Scientific Outlook on Development, effectively pform the development mode, adjust the structure of export products, vigorously develop the export of independent brands and high value-added products, actively develop emerging markets and domestic markets, and continuously enhance their competitiveness.

Two, abide by the laws and regulations of the state's foreign trade law, and effectively fulfill the obligations of enterprises in environmental protection, social responsibility, product safety, intellectual property protection and other aspects, consciously regulate business practices, maintain a fair trade environment, and set up a positive image of our textile and garment export enterprises and products.

Three, actively participate in dialogue, exchanges and cooperation between industry organizations and developed and developing countries in the same industry, strengthen communication with foreign counterparts, increase confidence and resolve doubts, and resolve trade frictions.

We should strive to explore and open up new ways and channels of international cooperation so as to achieve mutual benefit and win-win results.

Four, strengthen the links between textile and garment export enterprises, actively carry out and participate in industry self-regulation and mutual legal activities, consciously abide by industry standards, comply with industry organization and coordination, and promote the healthy and sustainable development of China's textile and clothing exports.
