European Union Released A Sampling List For Sunset Review Of Leather Shoes
The EU's anti-dumping review on Chinese shoes has made new progress.
Reporters yesterday learned from the AOKANG group involved in the case, the European Commission has made a sampling result on the anti-dumping review of leather shoes. Zhejiang AOKANG, Fujian Jian Yue and Yuyuan industries in Guangdong, Panyu Chuangxin shoes, Huajian, Tong Jia shoes, Foshan Nanhai golden shoe and other 7 shoe companies were caught and entered the written defense procedure.
At the same time, the three shoe manufacturers in Fujian, Zhejiang and Guangdong have formed a "United Front" against European anti-dumping under the organization of several major chambers of Commerce.

It is understood that in November 7th, the Ministry of Commerce and the import and Export Fair Trade Bureau received the official letter of the European Commission on written defense for the extraction of 7 Chinese leather shoes. According to the relevant persons of AOKANG Group Import and export company, in fact, in October 30th, the company had already received the mail sent by the European Commission on the anti-dumping investigation of specific leather shoes produced in People's Republic of China and Vietnam, thereby confirming that AOKANG was drawn into the written defense procedure. According to the introduction, the questionnaire was quite strict, up to 80 pages, covering almost all aspects of the company's export to the EU, and the investigation authorities required that the sampling enterprises should submit the form before December 8th.
According to Pu Ling Chen, the Chinese deputy attorney who acted as the anti-dumping case, the sampling of the European Commission was not random, mainly based on the export volume and export status of the enterprises, and the representative enterprises from the enterprises that submitted the questionnaire entered the written investigation procedure.
The European Commission launched anti-dumping investigations on leather shoes in China and Vietnam in 2005, and imposed a 16.5% anti-dumping duty on Chinese leather shoes in October 2006. After the expiration of October 2008, the European Commission announced the "sunset review". China's relevant departments immediately convened the coordination meeting in Zhejiang, Guangdong and Fujian's three shoe making bases, calling for shoe enterprises to go all out to respond actively. Before the deadline for submission of the sampling table in October 20th, more than 60 shoe enterprises in the country submitted complaint materials, and the European Commission sampled further investigation.

"All enterprises involved should take the sample enterprises as the core of the complaint, and put their efforts into the industry without any injury defense, so as to fight for the future of China's leather shoes."
It is reported that the China Leather Association, the China Light Industry Chamber of Commerce, and the three shoe industries of Fujian, Zhejiang and Guangdong, including the Wenzhou shoe leather association and the Guangdong shoe alliance, have organized joint efforts to represent the Chinese leather shoes enterprises to carry out industrial non injury defense. Pu Lingchen told reporters that China's main footwear companies in Europe have already formed a "United Front", including the unified recruitment of lawyers and the unified pace of action. At the same time, they will echo the 9 major industries and consumer importers in foreign countries and organize their efforts to attack the EU's "sunset review".
It is understood that the collective defense also hired two European law firms as agents to complete the defense work together. Wang Zhentao, President of AOKANG group, said that China's leather shoes industry should be looked forward to in such a multi pronged way.
