In 2008 1-9, China's textile industry fixed assets investment totaled 202 billion 269 million yuan, an increase of 10.15% over the same period in 07 years.

In the 1-9 month of 2008, China's textile enterprises above Designated Size produced 15 million 979 thousand and 200 tons of yarn, an increase of 9% over the same period last year. The total production volume was 41 billion 732 million meters, an increase of 6.33% over the same period last year. The total output of garments was 15 billion 159 million, an increase of 5.92% over the same period last year, and the cumulative output of chemical fiber was 17 million 978 thousand tons, up 2.44% over the same period last year.
