Ivory Coast Exported 183814 Tons Of Cotton In 5-3Down 12.5

On Tuesday, official data showed that in the first 11 months of May to March 2008, exports of 183814 metric tons of cotton in the Ivory Coast decreased by 26254 tons, or -12.5%, compared with 210068 tons in the same period last year.



Ivory Coast is the fourth largest cotton producing country in Africa, ranking fifteenth in the world.



Low cotton prices in the world, poor pportation and shortage of funds have impeded the production of cotton in the Ivory Coast.
