Zebra Network Strategic Restructuring Completed Ali Became The First Major Shareholder
Recently, the first network of zebra networks in 2020 was held in Shanghai Ali center, marking the formal completion of the strategic restructuring of zebra network and AliOS.
The zebra network was founded in 2015. It was jointly established by Alibaba group and SAIC Group for 1 billion yuan. It is dedicated to providing the whole solution of intelligent networking vehicle for the whole automobile industry. In August 2019, Alibaba and SAIC announced the strategic restructuring of zebra network and extended the scope of cooperation to auto travel platforms, autopilot and other fields. After the strategic reorganization, Alibaba will become the first largest shareholder of zebra network.
After the strategic reorganization, the board formally appointed Zhang Chunhui as joint CEO, making clear that zebra network continued to strengthen its R & D investment in the vehicle intelligent operation system and AI field. At the same time, AliOS's full technical system and core technical talents have been injected into zebra networks. The founding members of AliOS, such as Cheng Li, Huang Youyong, Xia Lian, Xu Qiang and Xiao Ruizhe, have joined the zebra network and become the core management roles such as CMO, COO and CFO.
Zebra network chairman Zhang Jianfeng said: "zebra should fully integrate and utilize shareholders' resources and capabilities. The company, the flat headed brother and the Tmall Elves will fully support zebra to upgrade its technology and capabilities to help zebra build a smart car operation system for the future. Public information shows that Zhang Jianfeng is one of the partners of Alibaba group. He is the chairman of the technical committee of the Alibaba group, President of the damoyuan Institute and President of the cloud intelligent business group.
At the same time, zebra network said that the establishment of joint CEO is to quickly integrate and coordinate Alibaba group's advantages in the consumption Internet and SAIC's industrial Internet, and promote zebra network to develop better and faster.
It is understood that zebra network has developed a "trilogy" strategic plan for the development of the intelligent vehicle operating system, that is, the comprehensive deep ploughing intelligent network union vehicle, to build the AliOS vehicle operating system supporting the "smart car engine - Intelligent cockpit - smart car", to rapidly enhance the zebra's product strength and operation ability, and to use the Internet technology to innovate and travel life.
In addition, to support the zebra network to build a smart car operating system for the future, zebra network is about to open the next round of financing window.
