The China Textile Industry Federation revealed on the 6th that the prosperity of China's textile industry has been expanding since 2019. The survey data shows that in the first quarter and the first half of the year, the prosperity index of China's textile industry was 55 and 52 respectively, both above the 50 boom and bust line, indicating that the industry as a whole is still in the growth cycle.


The overall production of China's textile industry has achieved steady growth. In the first half of the year, the industrial added value of enterprises above designated size in China's textile industry increased by 3.6% year on year, 0.8 percentage points higher than that of the same period last year, but 1.8 percentage points slower than that of the first quarter of this year. In all links of the industrial chain, the industrial added value of the chemical fiber industry maintained a high double-digit growth rate of 13%, 6.4 percentage points higher than that of the same period last year; The industrial added value of the industrial textile industry grew steadily, with a year-on-year growth rate of 7.6% in the first half of the year.


At the same time, the pressure on the quality and efficiency of China's textile industry has increased, and the scale of investment has declined slightly. Since 2019, under the pressure of internal and external markets, the profit pressure of textile enterprises has increased.


Despite the increasing pressure on the survival and development of Chinese textile enterprises, they are still actively accelerating transformation and upgrading, striving to improve their comprehensive management ability, trying to resolve external risks and maintain stable development.


The China Textile Industry Federation said that, on the whole, in the second half of 2019, China's textile industry will face a more complex external environment, but China's macroeconomic environment and domestic consumption market will still provide the industry with the primary development support. China's textile industry will continue to push forward the supply side structural reform, deeply tap the potential of domestic demand, vigorously promote high-quality development, further improve the ability to resist risks and development toughness, and make every effort to ensure stable operation.
