Details of the paction have not yet been released.

After the paction is completed, Alexis Bittar will remain independent, but will share professional knowledge and logistics services with other brands.

Jill Maier, President of Brooks Brothers group's existing jewellery brand Carolee, will also supervise the operation of Alexis Bittar.

"I am very pleased to incorporate Alexis Bittar jewelry into our brand portfolio.

Its creativity, independent design, excellent quality and technology complement our product categories and enable us to strategically adjust business models. "

Brooks Brothers's CEO Claudio Del Vecchio, chief executive of the company, Matteo Del Vecchio, said: "our strategy is to maintain a fully owned but relatively independent jewelry sector, managing private brands (Carolee, Alexis Alexis) and authorized brands."

In 2001, Brooks Brothers acquired Carolee, and currently authorized and licensed jewelry for Ralph Lauren, ABS by Allen Schwartz, Trina Turk, Schwartz and other fashion brands.

Matteo Del Vecchio says there is no plan to add Alexis Bittar jewelry to Brooks Brothers store at present.

"This is not the reason for the acquisition, nor is it part of the current strategy, but it does not rule out the future."

Brooks Brothers has sold many third party brands in stores, such as Red Wing.

In 2014, the group appointed the famous designer Zac Posen as the creative director of women's clothing and accessories product line.

His first work is the 2016 spring series.

In 2007, Claudio Del Vecchio hired pioneer designer Thom Browne to design Black Fleece series for men's and women's wear for Brooks Brothers store. The cooperation between the two sides continued for 8 years and ended in 2015.

At that time, the group said that the focus of the future would be the women's product line designed by Zac Posen, and the Red Fleece series that was biased towards young people.

Alexis Bittar has not responded.

The designer was born in 1968, and his parents are university professors and antiques collectors.

At the age of 13, Alexis Bittar had received an antique necklace from his parents and began to like jewelry design.
