Yesterday, reporters learned from the relevant departments of the District, the mandatory national standard GB31701-2015, infants and children.

The product safety technical specification was formally promulgated and will be formally implemented in June 1st this year.

According to the introduction, the standard will have a pitional period of two years. By June 1, 2018, all relevant products on the market must meet the requirements of this standard.

It is understood that the standard is based on GB18401-2003's basic technical specification for textiles, specifically for baby textile.

There are three new changes in technical content in terms of technical specifications and mandatory requirements. First, chemical safety projects increase 6 kinds of plasticizers and limit requirements for two kinds of heavy metals such as lead and cadmium; two, as regards mechanical safety, detailed provisions are made for different parts of children's clothing, such as head, neck, shoulders and waist, requiring no rope for children and children under 7 years of age, and three for enhanced combustion performance.

At present, many ordinary clothing enterprises in Keqiao begin to pform into children's textile and clothing.

How much do these enterprises know about the safety technology of infants and children's textile products? Reporters recently interviewed many production enterprises of children's clothing, such as ping Shui and Lanting Pavilion. They all indicated that it was not clear about the mandatory national standards for children's clothing.

Keqiao is a distributing center for textile and garment fabrics, and also a key production area for textile and garment industry.

According to statistics, last year our textile and garment industry realized sales value of 7 billion 600 million yuan, an increase of 10% over the same period last year.
