Anti Dumping Duty On Chinese Shoes

According to the "economic weekly" April 19th report, the European sports brand manufacturers association (FESI) recently filed a lawsuit against the European Union and asked the EU to cancel the anti-dumping duties imposed on imported footwear from China and Vietnam. Lee Said Mayer, director of the FESI trade and Customs Committee, said that almost all European sports brand manufacturers were producing in China and Vietnam. The anti-dumping duties were particularly damaging to those manufacturers returning to Europe. Since the European Union introduced the tax, the European footwear manufacturers have already paid 1 billion euros for this purpose. The competition said that at the end of last year, the European Union decided to extend the levy for 15 months. FESI's lawsuit was difficult to obtain the court decision during the extension period, but hoped that this action could prevent the EU from extending the tax period again in the FESI period.
